George Floyd - a time to listen

Background-May 2020,  George Floyd died,because  a white Minneapolis policeman, Derek Chauvin kneeled on Mr. Floyd's neck until he was asphyxiated while three other policemen watched.

In Martin Luther  King's  "I have a dream speech", he was inviting us, all of us, to be part of the solution. His vision of a promised land continues to recede for  people of color  The march to the promised land, which MLK envisioned, must begin again with greater clarity and urgency!.People of power  listen with empathy! Understand that racism is "our" problem!

The trial of the white policemen, Derek Chauvin, is taking place now.(4/2021)  The laws of the land must be applied equitably and evenly to all  the people in the land. We the people" must have the will and wisdom to make this happen now! 


The power of the people must be greater then the people in power for democracy's to work.

A Christmas message 2021

On Veteran's day  I felt the need to stop in a small boutique store.  While there a man  who works for Waste management entered. He  had just emptying the dumpsters outside. I said unto him, "It is veteran's day let me buy you a coffee?" "I can not take it. He replied. "For I am not a veteran." "But you know a veteran ,or have family that are Veterans?" "Yes my brother is a veteran." he replied. " So accept it  in your brothers name," And turn to pay for the man's coffee and the chocolate chip pumpkin bread. That evening the man from waste management was at his brothers house and told a story of the kind stranger. Listening was, Eve, his brother's youngest step daughter,  A seed was being planted The following was the original ending.
